Kelly and I watched Food Inc. for the first time the other night. The movie has been out for a little while now and seeing it, I’m surprised I hadn’t seen it sooner.
This is an amazing expose on where most of the food we eat comes from. There are appearances from Eric Schlosser (author, “Fast Food Nation”), Michael Pollan (author, “The Ominvore’s Dillema”), Gary Hirshberg (chairman, president and CEO, Stonyfield Farms), and others.
I found the movie informative, educational, and ultimately empowering. This isn’t a shock flick centered on horrific footage, although there is some in there. This is one of the reasons the food industry is largely shrouded from public view. Most people would simply stop buying once they saw what these ‘foods’ really were and where they came from. With an ever increasing number of people ending up sick and diseased from the foods they eat, this is one movie I recommend every American see. Watch it and you’ll want to share it with your family and friends.

People really don’t want to think about where their food comes from when it’s animal products. I am glad that the producers aren’t afraid to make a good film that is educational and shocking.

I agree Patrick. I find most people are either really interested, or don’t want to hear about it at all. They seem to want to stay ignorant so they can continue enjoying the processed, toxic ‘foods’ they eat.
